On 13 December 2025 the renovated OSK Mladost Sports Hall hosted a senior-level handball match for the first time in more than 10 years – the Bulgarian Cup qualifier (men) between CSKA Mladost and Osam (Lovech). The young CSKA Mladost squad, which started competing in the “B” Men’s National Handball League this year, lost to Osam Lovech 29:43.
The top scorer for the Reds was Juan Gascón with 9 goals, and for Osam – Nikola Hristanov with 13.
Despite the defeat, the match turned into a real celebration, where fans young and old could once again enjoy handball and their beloved red team after so many years away from men’s handball. With its very young squad, led by head coach Dimitar Asenov, CSKA Mladost showed that the club is heading in the right direction and that success lies ahead.
The match was streamed live on the YouTube channel of the Bulgarian Handball Federation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpz9BMso-bM
In the spring half of the season, the CSKA Mladost hall will host more home matches of the men’s and women’s teams, as well as the junior, youth and children’s teams.
