The CSKA Mladost boys’ team in the senior youth category (under 16) delivered an impressive performance at the qualifying tournament for the Bulgarian Handball Cup, held in Varna on 6 December 2025 (Saturday).
The young “army men” played two matches back to back and earned two well-deserved wins:
- Lokomotiv (Varna) – CSKA Mladost 24:31 (10:16 at half-time)
- CSKA Mladost – ASTI 91 (Haskovo) 26:22 (10:12 at half-time)
With these results the team, led by coach Georgi Georgiev, showed excellent teamwork, discipline, character and good physical fitness. It is worth noting that the CSKA Mladost boys had to play two 50-minute matches one after the other with no break, against the tournament hosts and against ASTI 91. The two deserved wins took them through to the final tournament – the Final Four.
The Bulgarian Cup Final Four will be held on 17–18 January 2026, where CSKA Mladost will compete for the top honours.
Congratulations to the players and the coaching staff on a strong performance, hard work and proudly representing the club’s colours! Good luck in the final tournament!
